Order HereDUBAI – Spain-based SkyTeam member Air Europa and Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines have implemented a codeshare agreement allowing both companies to continue their growth and expansion. The agreement is effective October 1, 2016.
Under the codeshare agreement, Air Europa has added its UX designator code on Turkish Airlines flights between Istanbul Ataturk-Madrid Barajas.
Turkish Airlines has added its TK code to Air Europa flights from Madrid to Las Palmas, Ibiza, as well as Palma de Mallorca (Spain), including on long-haul services from Madrid to Havana (Cuba), Santo Domingo, Lima flights operated by Air Europa.
The agreement between the two airlines will enable both carriers to tap into new markets and offer their passengers more travel options. Such an expansion of the codeshare agreement will allow passengers to benefit from better connectivity and increased travel flexibility between Spain and Turkey and beyond the carriers’ respective network.
Air Europa´s CEO, Maria José Hidalgo, praised the agreement reached as “It allows both companies to continue its growth and expansion and gives us the opportunity to offer our passengers a wide and varied range of connections with all the advantages and comfort of a codeshare agreement.”

Turkish Airline’s Deputy Chairman and CEO of Turkish Airlines Temel Kotil said: “We are extremely pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with Air Europa providing access to 6 offline destinations in our network flights and aim to improve our partnership in line with our growth plans in Latin America as Turkish Airlines.”
