The Abu Dhabi-based airline is placing Air Malta’s code on its flights to the Italian capital, while the Maltese carrier is carrying Etihad’s on its services between Rome and the Mediterranean archipelago.
Etihad will additionally place Air Malta codes on its existing flights to Brisbane, Melbourne andSydney as well as a new route to Perth.
The partnership previously covered Etihad’s flights from Abu Dhabi to Brussels, London and Manchester.
Etihad Airways is the second-largest airline in the UAE. Its head office is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, near Abu Dhabi’s International Airport. Etihad commenced operations in November 2003.
