Order Here[CORRECTED OWNERSHIP PARAGRAPH] German investor Intro Aviation wants to sell Austria-based regional Intersky this month, the company confirmed in a statement.
“We are in close talks with an investor that wants to acquire 100% of Intersky,” a company shareholder told ATWrecently, declining to name the interested buyer.
Intro Aviation, which bought into Intersky in 2012, also owns Irish regionalCityJet.
“It is part of our business model to buy and sell airlines,” Intro Aviation MDPeter Onken said in a statement, adding that discussions with remaining shareholders are on hold.
The company operates three Bombardier Dash 8-Q300s and two ATR-72-600s. “Leasing rates for our ATRs are very costly and we want to lease these aircraft to other carriers,” CEO Roger Hohl told ATW.
Intersky has established in 2001 by Austrian business woman Renate Moser. The company, which was 74.9%-owned by Intro Aviation GmbH, was divested to the current shareholders in November 2014.
Intersky operates from Germany’s Friedrichshafen Airport on regional routes within Europe.
