According to the Shanghai-based carrier, over the past three years it had a net income of CNY229 million ($37.4 million), CNY339 million and CNY415 million. In the 2015 first quarter, Juneyao posted a net profit of CNY267 million, more than doubling a net income of CNY101.5 million in the year-ago period.
Launched in 2006, Juneyao has a registered capital of CNY500 million and plans to circulate 68 million A shares to collect CNY715 million to purchase seven Airbus A320s and two backup aircraft engines.
Currently, Juneyao operates 42 aircraft, comprising 35 A320s and seven A321s. The carrier plans to expand its fleet to 50 aircraft this year.
Last year, Juneyao Airlines launched Guangzhou-based low-cost carrier Jiuyuan Airlines, which operates three Boeing 737-800 aircraft leased from Lion Air on three domestic routes. The LCC ordered 50 Boeing 737s in May 2014, which are scheduled to be delivered over the next five years.
