Ryanair, TUIfly to Pay Back €12.7m Illegal State Aid to Austrian Airport Klagenfurt after EC Ruling

BRUSSELS – Irish budget airline Ryanair and German leisure airline TUIfly has been ordered by European Union state aid regulators to repay a total of €12.7m in illegal state aid given by Austrian Klagenfurt airport. The European Commission ruled that their deals with Klagenfurt Airport are in breach of EU rules and were anti-competitive.
